{"id":72,"date":"2010-12-11T06:43:13","date_gmt":"2010-12-11T11:43:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/angiewade.com\/?p=72"},"modified":"2010-12-11T06:43:13","modified_gmt":"2010-12-11T11:43:13","slug":"huggy-buggy-bread-pudding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/angiewade.com\/index.php\/2010\/12\/11\/huggy-buggy-bread-pudding\/","title":{"rendered":"Huggy Buggy Bread Pudding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href='http:\/\/www.foodnetwork.com\/recipes\/aarti-sequeira\/huggy-buggy-bread-pudding-recipe\/index.html' >Huggy Buggy Bread Pudding<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Ingredients<\/p>\n<p>    * 3 tablespoons melted butter<br \/>\n    * 3 eggs<br \/>\n    * 1 cup sugar<br \/>\n    * 1 (14-ounce) can coconut milk (not low-fat)<br \/>\n    * 3 cups whole milk<br \/>\n    * 1\/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon<br \/>\n    * 1\/4 teaspoon ground cardamom<br \/>\n    * 1\/4 teaspoon ground ginger<br \/>\n    * Pinch salt<br \/>\n    * 1 baguette, cut into 1-inch chunks (about 7 cups)<br \/>\n    * 6 dried figs, soaked in hot water for at least 15 minutes, thinly sliced*<br \/>\n    * Handful roasted unsalted cashew nuts, whole or chopped<br \/>\n    * Vanilla ice cream, for serving<br \/>\n    *<br \/>\n    * Special equipment: 9 by 13-inch baking dish<\/p>\n<p>Directions<\/p>\n<p>Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Pour the melted butter into a 9 by 13-inch baking dish and use a pastry brush to make sure the dish is well coated.<\/p>\n<p>In a large bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar together, then add the coconut milk, the whole milk, the spices and a pinch of salt. Add bread and figs and toss. Let soak for 15 minutes.<\/p>\n<p>Pour the mixture into the prepped baking dish and sprinkle with the cashews.
