{"id":54,"date":"2010-11-21T09:53:08","date_gmt":"2010-11-21T14:53:08","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/angiewade.com\/?p=54"},"modified":"2010-11-21T09:53:08","modified_gmt":"2010-11-21T14:53:08","slug":"organic-peanut-butter-cookies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/angiewade.com\/index.php\/2010\/11\/21\/organic-peanut-butter-cookies\/","title":{"rendered":"Organic Peanut Butter Cookies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>INGREDIENTS**<br \/>\n1\/2 cup unsalted butter, softened<br \/>\n1\/2 cup organic or natural peanut butter<br \/>\n1\/2 cup organic dark brown sugar<br \/>\n1\/2 cup organic cane sugar<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp baking soda<br \/>\n1\/2 tsp baking powder<br \/>\n1 tsp vanilla extract<br \/>\n1 free range or organic egg<br \/>\n1 1\/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour<\/p>\n<p>Beat butter and peanut butter together with an electric mixer, about 30 seconds.<br \/>\nAdd the sugars, baking soda and powder, and beat until combined.<br \/>\nAdd the vanilla and the egg and beat until combined.<br \/>\nStir in the flour incrementally on slowest speed until incorporated. The dough will become thick and difficult to work with.<br \/>\nI suggest you chill it for an hour or so until it&#8217;s easier to work with.<br \/>\nHeat oven to 350 degrees F.<br \/>\nRoll dough into 1-inch balls and place them a few inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets lined with parchment paper.<br \/>\nButter the tines of a large fork and use it to press the cookies flat. Make a design of perpendicular lines with the fork. Re-butter the fork as necessary.<br \/>\nBake for 10 minutes or until just starting to brown around the edges.
